Friends of Aids Orphans in Africa (FADOA) is dedicated to working towards the full integration of African AIDS orphans into their communities so as to enable them to live as normal a life as they can and eventually become productive members of their society. We need the help of well-wishers to assist the 80% of total world AIDS orphans who live in Africa. Only 3% of the orphans receive any kind of support. Most importantly, we need your assistance to moderate the devastating effects of HIV/AIDS in Africa. The Effects of COVID 19 has hit these children hard.
Some of the most obvious effects of HIV and AIDS are:
- The near-zero chances of a child’s access to basic necessities such as shelter, food, clothing, health, and education, when the child loses one or both parents to AIDS.
- A rise in numbers of child-headed households, child care-givers, as well as grandmothers who are forced to take care of their grandchildren.
- High prevalence of school dropouts among AIDS orphans.
The existing government structures for health services delivery and well established charities such as Save the Children, Plan International, and CARE do not reach this group of HIV/AIDS orphans, who number in the hundreds of thousands. You can help sponsor a child in Africa and change the life for these children.
FADOA is seeking to fill this gap in assistance delivery by directly addressing the needs of the abandoned AIDS orphans in the remote villages of Africa. We, the founders of FADOA, are retired UN workers and are from these villages. We have relatives whose children were abandoned in the villages and we have taken care of many of them. We need partners like you! PLEASE DONATE NOW
