Transparency in Action – Tracking Every Dollar, Every Outcome
Accountability is not a slogan; it is a practice. For a lean organization working across two countries, FADOA’s credibility depends on how precisely we convert contributions into outcomes that matter: children in school, caregivers supported, and communities safer for orphans and vulnerable children. Our 2025–2027 plan embeds transparency at every stage, from pledge to field verification.
What We Track
We log school retention, attendance, and exam participation; distribution of uniforms and supplies; participation in caregiver savings groups; and safeguarding referrals. Data are disaggregated by age and sex, and partners submit brief narrative notes to contextualize shifts — an approach consistent with community‑led monitoring principles [1].
Public Dashboard
Beginning in 2025, a concise dashboard will summarize active projects, budgets, and progress against targets. It will not publish sensitive case details; it will show, transparently, how funds move and what they accomplish. Where appropriate, we include photos and testimonials with consent and safeguarding protocols aligned to child‑protection guidance [2][3].
By the Numbers (Illustrative Design Targets)
• ≥90% of program funds directly supporting beneficiaries
• Quarterly partner spot‑checks and document reviews
• Termly publication of school retention and attendance metrics
• 100% consent documentation for all identifiable images [4]
Why This Matters
Transparent, community‑verified data shortens the distance between donor intent and child outcomes. For small organizations, it also protects dignity: when reporting is disciplined, stories can be told with care and accuracy. This is how we sustain trust with families, partners, and supporters.
